Yesterday I published a piece on the Creative Singularity as part of Freethink’s Creativity & AI special edition. It’s a term I use sincerely and ironically to describe the shakeup currently taking place in creative industries through the advent of publicly available generative engines. It was originally commissioned as a 2,000-word piece, and my first draft was around…7,000. Clearly I have a lot to say!
So I wanted to share a few outtakes on Reality Studies that I think still merit discussion, even if though they didn’t quite fit in the original article. These are mostly presented here as originally written. I’m planning followup posts, including ones that focus on ideas mentioned below.
