This one molecule has been integral in life as we know it...and we're still being reckless about it. Peter Brannen takes us on another journey in deep time.
A fascinating and very engaging conversation! I really enjoy Brennan's ability to do deep dives led by intense curiosity... and then return and share the "secrets" of what he's learned with the rest of us not "in the know." I have been meaning to read his books; this conversation has me re-prioritizing my reading list :) Thank you for producing it!
I think that feeling the guest is describing is, of course awe at the magnificence of nature, but awe can be an experience of self-transcendence, a "spiritual" experience, if you like, which frees us from the confines of the self and the smallness of human life. We need more of it.
